Our Story
Protostar started much earlier than it was incorporated. A couple of generations ago, our director worked with his father on electrical installations and manufacturing and selling electrical fittings and components. This developed into government contracts as prime subcontractor for 75% of the various councils’ schools and hospitals.
In the early 2000’s the company shifted to the private sector work specifically residential and some commercial projects. The company also grew in a inter-generational family business during this time. In the 2010’s the work mainly included residential multi-unit developments and home schemes bolstered by having an in-house Architect and strengthened network of specialist sub-designers and sub-contractors.
